How often should I use Keracolor Color + Clenditioner?
Adjust usage based on your color preference. For subtle enhancement, 1-2 times a week suffices; for a vibrant look, use more often, even with every wash— find your ideal routine, assessing color intensity regularly for nourished and vibrant hair.
-
Can I create my own color with Color + Clenditioners?
Absolutely! With Keracolor Color + Clenditioners, you have the creative freedom to blend shades, allowing you to craft your unique, personalized hair color. Experiment, mix, and create a hue that perfectly reflects your style and individuality.
-
How Long will the color last?
Our semi-permanent Color + Clenditioners duration varies based on factors like wash frequency, hair porosity, and color choice. Lighter shades fade faster; porous hair absorbs color more quickly and stays longer.
-
How can I remove the color from my hair?
To remove color, switch to a clarifying shampoo to help fade color gradually. Results vary based on the color and hair type. Seek professional advice for effective and safe removal based on specific hair conditions.
-
Will this work on my Gray hair?
Color + Clenditioners coverage for gray hair varies in effectiveness due to gray hair's resistance and lack of natural pigment. For better results, pre-lightening or choosing a slightly darker shade is recommended.

Easy to use. Didn't turn my virgin hair orange. Applied on wet natural red virgin hair for 8 minutes. Smell isn't bad. Hair left soft and conditioned. Achieved desired results. Reapply once a week (or as needed).
Highly recommend!
(update at the bottom)
I'm 43 years old and my hair is starting to darken out to an auburn I don't really care much for. People are starting to call my red hair brunette. Makes me sad I'm losing the vibrancy of my red!!
After reading the reviews I was scared to try this. Many were way more orange than I wanted. Most are on already bleached/color treated hair. The application times and methods were all over the place. I wanted only subtle change and nothing drastic. I wanted to keep my red hair natural looking, but make the color pop again. I read through SO MANY of these reviews trying to decide if I should and how to execute this flawlessly. Lol
APPLICATION METHOD I USED:
I decided to stay on the safe side and apply it in the shower on wet hair for 8 minutes. If it wasn't enough I would up the time. I know it washes out but I didn't want to have to take 3 showers to tone it down and waste unnecessary product. I washed my hair with shampoo first to make sure my scalp and roots were clean and free of oils. Then used approximately 6 pumps total and worked it into my hair (like shampoo) again. Then ran a comb through it all from root to ends to ensure even distribution. After my 8 minute timer went off, I Rinsed with cool water and got out. I used a hair dryer to dry my hair. Curled it all then took the photo.
ROOTS:
I noticed many mentioned their roots not being touched and I'm not sure on those if they were all on people with color treated hair. I felt like I read one natural that felt the roots got neglected. There was no issues with my roots
STAINING:
I had no issues with staining. Applying in the shower I just worked it into my hair and didn't get it everywhere. Rinsed my hands immediately once I got it in there.
SMELL
I personally liked the smell. It's not very strong. I'm honestly surprised it even has been mentioned.
CONDITIONING
It left my hair feeling soft. It was nearly slipping out of my curling iron afterwards.
COLOR
I am happy with the color it has added. Very subtle, but I can tell. It did not completely cover my greys but I do think one wash with it toned them down. Is exactly what I was looking for. I might wait a couple washes and then leave it on wet hair for 10 minutes. Then update with a photo.
MAINTAIN COLOR:
I apply this about once a week and apply it more to my roots than the rest of my hair. Then comb out down through my wet hair with a large toothed comb so that it blends in, but doesn't continue to overdue the ends as much.
EYEBROWS:
I've applied this to my eyebrows so that they match better. Must do so carefully unless you want stains around your brows. ;)
REMOVE COLOR:
I accidentally discovered that Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo will take most all of the color out in one wash! I wanted to add this for anybody that would like to reverse the process after undesired results.
I LOVE that this has and will revived my natural red hair!! Highly recommend to my fellow natural redhead sistas!!
UPDATE:
It's really hard to get the red to show up in pictures, but I wanted to update how things were going on this product. It is now April 3, 2024. After a few applications I received the shade I used to be. I use this once a week and only for about 5 minutes on wet hair.
UPDATE:
I have now been using this for over a year as needed to blend in at the roots to keep it looking vibrant and natural. In Sept 2024 I received a complement from a flight attendant telling me to never color my hair. Trust her that she used to be a hairdresser. So pleased she couldn't tell I touch up my natural red hair. Made my day. :) Last picture is today after a year use. Dec 28, 2024.

Please try again - Reviewed in the United States on May 15, 2025Color: MochaVerified PurchaseObsessed! I literally debated for 3 days about whether to tone, dye or utilize this colored conditioner. Ultimately I went with this and so happy I did! I had accidentally made my bang area too blonde and wasn’t liking it but didn’t want to permanently dye it in case I wanted to go back to a lighter blonde again and didn’t want to ruin my hair by applying dye so soon! This helped neutralize the yellow tint hue and make it more of an ash color as well as slightly darken the rest of my hair. This helped me finally achieve the color I’ve been trying to have for months now! The smell is amazing and my hair feels soooo light weight and soft! Highly recommend!

Please try again - Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2025Color: BlueVerified PurchaseI've been using another brand to keep my color vibrant longer, so I can stretch out the time between hair appointments. I decided to give this one a try because the reviews seemed just as positive, but the price was a little lower. I have to say, I'm impressed and likely won't switch back to the other brand. This one deposits more color in fewer applications and it seems to last a little longer as well.
For reference, my hair is naturally brown, but I have highlights all over and then my hairdresser colors all of my hair with blue and purple. I don't start using a product like this until the color in my highlights has faded quite a bit. When using this, the highlighted hair picks up the color quite well, but its not really noticeable in the dark parts of my hair. I've been using the vivid blue color, I've used it about every other day since I got it and after 3 or 4 applications it's pretty vivid. I think I'll get the vivid purple and alternate them as this blue is a little differently toned than the one my hair dresser uses and I think the purple might be better.
Overall I think that if you have light or highlighted hair this should work well.

Please try again - Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2025Color: EspressoVerified PurchaseI don’t typically write reviews but this stuff is worth it. I have very fine, virgin hair that absolutely couldn’t stand up to permanent hair dye, bleach, etc without serious breakage. However, I’d been toying with the idea of going for a more chocolate brown that might cancel out some of the olive-y hints in my natural color and this ended up being fantastic! First picture is my natural hair, second is after 3 sessions using the shade “espresso” (a cool-toned dark brown that leaves some reddish/purplish highlights if you really squint). Some reviews said that virgin hair might not see much color payoff but I definitely notice a difference. I apply it to wet hair and leave it on for 30-45 minutes about once a week, though sometimes I’ll just substitute it for my regular conditioner during a shower too. My hair can’t handle heavy products or it gets greasy and flat, so I’ve been shocked by how much body and movement it has after I’ve done a dye treatment. I’ve already recommended this product to multiple family members and will for sure keep buying it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Satisfied
Color: BlueVerified PurchaseThis product is small but it works. I bought it because I couldn't find the hair colour I buy in stock anywhere (Splat). I wanted to try the purple karacolour as that is or was rather my hair colour. But that colour was not in stock either. My hair was faded pink as the purple splat turns pink when it fades. So I figured blue and pink make purple. It is not the intense same shade of purple as it was afrer only two 3 minute uses. But is instead more of a pastel indigo, I am happy with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars My hairdresser recommended this!
Color: MochaVerified PurchaseMy professional hairdresser said “I don’t normally recommend store-bought hair products, but I recommend this one.’’ I use it like conditioner and leave it in my hair 5-15 mins once a week. It leaves my hair shiny and gives the colour a vibrant boost between hair colouring appts.

Color: EspressoVerified PurchaseMe encanta! Deja el cabello suavecito y mantiene el color, por lo tanto, ya no hay que usar tinte tan seguido, siento que es la mejor transición para el cabello canoso ya que no las cubre al 100%, si lo recomiendo!

5.0 out of 5 stars THE HOLY GRAIL for Temporary Grey Hair Coverage
Color: MochaVerified PurchaseIf you are a natural brunette and struggling to embrace going grey, this review is for you….
It can be a particularly difficult journey to transition to grey when you are a brunette (vs blonde). I have tried and failed so many times over the last 5 years. I tried 1) going platinum blonde, 2) trying to maintain blonde at home in the pandemic and accidentally frying my hair (!), 3) having to chop all my hair off after frying my hair (!!), 4) accepting the inevitable and embracing my new salt and pepper hair, but 5) changing my mind when I became a grandmother for the first time (it was a bit too much at once!) and applying a box of apparently temporary “semi permanent wash-out” brown hair dye, only to then find out it does not EVER wash out, even after trying every method under the sun to remove the colour, to then 6) FINALLY conceding defeat forever (or so I thought) and growing my grey hair in - albeit at a snail-like pace - over the past year and a half.
But after all these ups and downs, in my heart I was still yearning to find a solution because I feel 20 years older than I am when I look in the mirror. I support all women who choose to embrace their grey and age gracefully, as well as those who choose to maintain their hair dye. It’s a very personal choice. I wish I was courageous enough to fully embrace my grey hair, and I will one day, but I’m not there yet. Even though I’m 49 this month, I still feel young and when I look at myself in the mirror I cannot reconcile the old woman looking back at me! Also, I am trying to make up for many years I have lost due to chronic pain preventing me from living life to the fullest.
I provide this context because I struggled for YEARS to figure out a way to easily hide my greying brunette hairs without the need for constant hair dye and root touch ups. I lost so much hair length due to the number of times I had to “start over” after all the above failed attempts. With this in mind, I am so incredibly grateful I found this holy grail of a product. After just one treatment, I feel like my younger self again! And the results will get better with repeated applications. For my first treatment, after researching the best strategy on YouTube, I applied a liberal amount of the Mocha to my dry hair for 40 minutes, covered my head in glad wrap for good measure, and prayed to the hair gods that this stuff is the real deal that others claim it to be…. If you’re a middle aged female, you’ll be familiar with that anticipatory nervous excitement you get when a timer finally goes off and you step in the shower to wash out a new hair dye. You’re rinsing the dye out and wondering, with hope, just how amazing (or not) your hair is going to be when you step out and look in your mirror. Today, I finally took these steps and when I looked in the mirror I was gobsmacked at how amazing my hair not only looked, but felt! And this is just my first application. I can only imagine how amazing my hair is going to look and feel after repeated treatments!!
The very first thing I did when I got out of the bathroom was order another bottle of this magical Clenditioner. I very, very rarely write reviews, but this product is so incredible that I have to write this in the hope that if this helps just one woman out there like me, then I have shared a bit of good in this crazy, messed-up world. So do yourself a favour and give it a try. I might even buy a few different colours so I can mix it up. But please don’t rush out and buy all the Mocha because I need this stuff in my life!
Ps. Re the reviews stating it didn’t work on grey hair - it DOES work if you use the right method. Apply generously to DRY hair, leave it on under glad wrap for 40 minutes for your first application (but no more due to risk of allergic reaction), and repeat the process daily until you get the desired level of intensity and coverage.
Update: After four sessions of colouring both dry and in the shower, the hue is more of a really dark grey with a tinge of purple, but I’m getting comments from people about how much they love my hair! So even though it’s not as brown as it was after my first use, I’ll definitely keep on using it and may even branch out to our colours. I’m thinking of trying Merlot next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reddish tinge that’s great for colour mixing
Color: PurpleVerified PurchaseUsed alone this “shampoo” yields a reddish tinge. But when mixed with the vivid blue it gives me varied shades of violets … pretty fun to play with it on my bleached hair. Not so absorbent on natural grey hair though
