I started using Just For Men Control GX Grey Reducing Shampoo about two months ago, and I'm genuinely impressed with the results! As a guy who wasn't ready for a full dye job but wanted to address my increasing greys, this gradual approach has been perfect for me.

It worked for me after I modified the instructions for my short 1/2" hair
After using an electric hair cutter to trim my 4-6” hairs down to ½” in order to ascertain how I would look in all-gray/silver hair, I hated the look. But I did not want to go back to my previous product, as it was too obvious that either my hair was colored or I was using a wig. I entered “hair color for men” in the Amazon Search bar, and a variety of options appeared, including this one. The description asserts the one may achieve a dark brown/black shade that will increase with the number of times the product is used, or the longer the time the product is left in the hair for each use Here are my findings for my particular hairs, all of which are only ½” long: --no itching or rash occurred when applied to the creases of my elbows with a cotton swab --it is important to shake and massage the tube to thoroughly mix the contents --One’s hair must be wet, not merely damp, before applying --gloves are a must to prevent staining of the hands and nails --wiping the drippings from the sink before they have dried is essential --using enough product to cover at least half of one palm is important --thoroughly saturating my ½” hair and leaving it on for 5 minutes had no effect --thoroughly saturating my ½” hair and leaving it on for 20 minutes had minimal effect --thoroughly saturating the my ½” hair and leaving it on for 60 minutes in front of a fan, with frequent views in the mirror, resulted in a salt-and-pepper look, which I still did not like -thoroughly saturating my ½” hair and leaving it on for 60 minutes in front of a fan, with frequent views in the mirror, for a second time gave me exactly the look I wanted: darker on the top than on the sideburns, which looks natural for my age --towel-drying and then brushing with a popular Amazon hair brush caused the ½” hairs on top to stand up, which is exactly what I want, as laying them down resulted in more-obvious thinning suggesting impending baldness Pros --easy to use, following some experimenting --costs a fraction of coloring in a salon --because of COVID-19, safer than allowing a stylist to be standing next to me Cons --none that I know of so far IMPORTANT: --I needed more time and a fan because my hairs are only ½” long; roots require more time to color --re the time to leave in, I suggest applying the product in front of a mirror in a brightly lit area, preferably, inexpensive fluorescents with the color temperature of sunlight, and rinsing as soon as you think you have the shade you desire, which may be as little as a minute or two -if, after towel-drying with a dark towel, the shade is lighter than you desire, reapply; if ever you leave it on too long for your particular hair, you may get a darker shade than you desire ADDENDUM: To avoid the cap staining the tube's resting place, fold a paper towel so that it has four layers between the cap and the tube's resting place.
