I have been using shimmering lights for well over a decade. That stuff dries your hair out so I went looking for something else. This product came highly recommended. I love it. It is non-drying and it works well. My only complaint is you will have to really be careful with this product because it is strong and it will turn your hair purple if you're not careful. Leave it on for just a couple of minutes at first and then rinse it out and test it. I have been using it now for 6 or 8 months and I still have to be careful. Otherwise it's fantastic

I’ve used Watercolors shampoo for years to maintain and boost the color of my hair. The 1st picture is what came of the rose gold IKG color. Looks pretty blond doesn’t it. One wash with Watercolors rose gold shampoo and like magic it’s the right color. I’ve used Watercolors for copper, purple, aqua mermaid blue, works great for all the colors I’ve tried. You can use your regular conditioner, or one that deposits more color but if you’re going to go to the trouble, it needs to stay bright for a while. We all know how fast colors fade. Also, this would be fun for your kids, wash in, washes out in a week or so with regular shampoo so it’s not a commitment. My favorite color depositing shampoo.

Definitely deposits color. I liked the scent, which doesn't linger, and it didn't feel too drying, though I've certainly tried more nourishing shampoos. I'm giving it only 3 stars because it made my scalp hurt. I don't have a history of sensitivity to hair or beauty products, but this shampoo left my scalp feeling raw and burning. I tried it twice, a week apart to let my scalp recover in between. The raw feeling occurred both times. If you know you won't have the same feeling, this might be for you! (I color my hair myself at home, but I don't use a lot of other products. Maybe if you're used to a wide variety of things, you won't run into the same problem.)
